imagine peace

I didn't write this but I thought it was a good poem for Imagine Peace..

Imagine the time before the world warWhen people could live behind an unlocked doorBefore Pearl Harbor was bombed by JapanBefore the diary of a girl named AnneBefore Hitler and Germany’s HellBefore survivors had a story to tellBack when Jews were free to beBack when there was no term “Nazi”Before the hate and devastationBefore African segregationWhen life was just and fair to allBefore the Twin Towers’ fallBack in the years before ChristBefore a man’s life could be pricedBefore murder and before crimeImagine living in this timeWith nothing but serenityWhen death had no identityWhen peace and bliss were everywhereBefore creation of warfareImagine this, can you try? Before there was reason to cryBack when life was worth the timeWhen it was his or hers, not mineBack when love was in the airWhen people desired to careCan you imagine this?A world existing with such bliss. No you can’t, and wonder whyYou can’t imagine, though you tryBecause this life was never trueEver since the sky was bluePeace has never been a factJust a concept, just abstractAnd before you do see peaceYou, yourself, will decease.

My brain is not working lol

The World Is YOURS

Reflection Free write:

NAS Song( The World Is Yours) :

As I read the lyrics:

(The fiend of hip-hop has got me stuck like a crack pipe) I feel that NAS is speaking of his addiction to Hip hop how it will consume you just like any addictive drug out there how you can get lost in your own world in your own thoughts it can bring you up like some drugs but then it can also destroy you like some of the Hip hop artist that get caught up doing dirt and are not using hip hop to voice a message to their listeners on a positive level..(I'm out for presidents to represent me (Say what?) Out for a president that will do right for everyone not just for the Rich but will do right by everyone and will build a better nation since the one we have now is F*8Ked, just like in Tupacs song (we got money for wars but can't feed the poor) we need a president that is willing to help everyone and help people that are in poverty. When he says he's out for dead presidents to represent me Meaning money because in this world it's all about the money and if you don't have it your nothing. He speaks of the things people do to make money even if it's not the right way (selling drugs) is the only way some people can make a living because with the economy we have it's hard for many young black men or minorities to get a good paying job and that's the only way for some people to make a living even though it's not the right way. The world is yours, it is our world and we have the power to make it a better place getting people to vote making changes we have the right to choose who we want to represent US and if we want to make changes we need to step up our game and do whats right if we want to make it a better place we hold our destiny in our hands and alot of what is going on is our own fault as a nation because no one wants to vote but they want to speak on how our president is F*&ked well if we all took the time to vote and do research on the people running to become president we would have someone that will do right by us, and to really do reserach on the person we elect to be in office they are the ones that are going to represent us and if we want to make a change it's US that have to do it whether it's in our everyday lives or how we want our nation ran the world is ours to make that change...I found this song very inspriational and real.
